Our story

Who We Are

Occupy World Outreach Ministries (OWOM) is a cross-cultural missions organisation founded on 15 October 1991 in Ibadan, Nigeria, by Apostle Victor G. Amosun. Since its inception, OWOM has been committed to mobilising, recruiting, training, sending, and supporting believers as cross-cultural missionaries, equipping them to take the Gospel to places where Christ is least known and to strengthen believers where the Church is still taking root.

Our mission transcends race, nationality, and denomination. We are driven by a passion to see the Lordship of Jesus Christ established among all nations, inspiring believers to be the salt and light of the world and to make a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.

Over the years, God has expanded our reach from the west coast of Africa to Europe and the nations of South America. Through strategic partnerships with churches and ministries, we have equipped leaders and believers for effective cross-cultural missions, empowering them through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to bring transformation to lives, communities, and nations.

OWOM also serves the global Church by publishing a prayer bulletin and a mission bulletin, providing valuable resources that inspire informed intercession for missionaries, mission fields, and the nations.

None of this would be possible without the faithful support of our partners, whose prayers, generosity, and commitment continue to advance the work of the Gospel. Together, we remain steadfast in our vision, believing that there are still many peoples and nations yet to be reached. Until every nation has heard the Gospel and the Church is prepared for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will continue to pursue this calling with unwavering faith and purpose.

How We Do Missions

    Cross-Cultural Missions

    At the heart of OWOM is a passion to take the Gospel where Christ is least known and to strengthen believers where the Church is still taking root. We mobilise, train, send, and support cross-cultural missionaries to serve among diverse peoples and nations.

    Since our inception, God has enabled us to engage in mission work across Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, The Gambia, Seychelles, Brazil, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and several other countries. As we look to the future, we continue to prayerfully prepare for strategic engagement in nations across the 10/40 and 40/70 Windows, where the need for the Gospel remains great.

  • Church Planting

    Where the Lord opens doors, we establish mission-focused, self-governing New Testament churches that serve as centres for discipleship, leadership development, and missionary mobilisation.

    Our vision is not to build a denomination but to advance the Kingdom of God by raising disciples who are equipped, commissioned, and sent to reach other nations with the Gospel.

    Training & Leadership Development

    We believe that fulfilling the Great Commission requires well-equipped and Spirit-filled believers. Through our School of Ministry and Deliverance (SOMDEL), we provide practical, biblical, and ministry-focused training that prepares leaders and workers for effective service and global missions.

    Today, SOMDEL operates in Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, the United States, Austria, Belize, Seychelles, Canada, Brazil, Venezuela, and the United Kingdom, equipping hundreds of believers each year through programmes ranging from Basic and Intermediate to Advanced, Post-Advanced, and Training of Trainers.

    Medical Missions

    Inspired by 3 John 2, our Medical Mission integrates compassionate healthcare with the proclamation of the Gospel, demonstrating the holistic love of Christ.

    Alongside evangelism and discipleship, we provide medical outreaches to underserved rural and urban communities, addressing physical needs while sharing the hope found in Jesus Christ.

    OWOM Medical Mission is led by Reverend Beatrice Amosun, whose vision is to see lives transformed both spiritually and physically.

  • Conferences & Outreach

    We organise conferences and outreach programmes that inspire, equip, and mobilise believers for missions and Kingdom impact.

    Our flagship World Missions Conference (WMC) provides biblical teaching, global mission perspectives, and practical opportunities for believers to engage in world evangelisation.

    Through Rivers of Deliverance and Healing (RODAH), God continues to bring healing, restoration, deliverance, and hope to individuals, families, communities, and nations. RODAH is currently held across several countries, including Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, Austria, Venezuela, Brazil, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

    We believe that the Great Commission is best fulfilled through collaboration. By partnering with churches, ministries, mission organisations, and like-minded believers, we combine our gifts, expertise, and resources to advance the Gospel more effectively.
